The Gobbling Box
Bug note - 10/24/97

The Gobbling Box has a bug that prevents it from running on a Model 4P
in Model III mode.  The same bug prevents it from running on a Model
III emulator if the emulator's ROM image file is derived from a
MODELA/III file instead of a real Model III.  The program does run
properly on either a Model I, real Model III, or Model 4, under LDOS
5.x, TRSDOS/LS-DOS 6.x, and probably other operating systems.  The
following patch will fix the problem.

. Apply using "PATCH GOBBLER/CMD GOBBLER/FIX" and
.             "PATCH GOBBLERJ/CMD GOBBLER/FIX"

The Model I and Model III/4 versions of The Gobbling Box are identical
files.  The Model I version is supplied on a bootable smal-LDOS disk,
35 tracks, single density, Vavasour Model I emulator format.  The
Model III/4 version is supplied in 40 track, double density, Vavasour
Model III/4 emulator format.  (xtrs and Matthew Reed's emulator can
read both formats.)  

I think the difference between GOBBLER/CMD and GOBBLERJ/CMD is that one
looks for a joystick and the other does not.
